My week is about to get interesting.
Nick’s parents are currently en route to Arkansas to stay with us for a few days.
We have several home-improvement projects planned, which is always the case. (By we I mean Nick and his dad. The girls, well, we tend to concentrate on shopping and movie watching and eating and other crucial activities.)
Good thing his dad likes (or pretends to like) to wield a hammer and power drill.
We haven’t seen both of them since we headed out West last year. This would be May 2010 B.D. — before diagnosis. In June I had the first inklings of a problem with optic neuritis, and the story goes from there.
It will mark the first time we’ve had house guests in a long time, so they will get to witness firsthand how we’ve been managing. And, if they’re curious, get to see shot time.
I’m looking forward to it, but the frantic housecleaning is about to do me in. And we are nowhere near finished.
Good thing they love us.
And we them.
