Faugh a Ballagh

I didn’t realize it until I woke up this morning and got ready for the day that I really don’t have much green in my wardrobe.

Black in every shade? Check.

A bunch of gray? Check.

But no green.

And no orange.

Which poses a slight problem, being that this is St. Patrick’s Day and Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week. The MS color is orange. Why the color of prison garb? I have no idea. Because we are prisoners to this disease? And it seems like all of the other shades have been appropriated (pink – breast cancer; red – heart disease; purple – alzheimer’s; yellow – livestrong)

My heritage is Irish via my paterfamilias’ side. Oh, and in case you haven’t noticed, I have MS.

What’s a girl to do?

I suppose draping myself in the Irish flag might be a little much, huh?

Gotta represent.

May the roof above us never fall in, and all us friends gathered beneath never fall out.

  1. Do you have any blue and yellow you could wear together? That makes green, right? 🙂 Or just speak in an Irish accent all day. That’s my plan.

    Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

  2. Every year I forget it’s St. Patrick’s day and show up wearing black or gray, like you. Then everyone feels the need to tell me I’m not wearing green. Glad I’m not at work today.
