Lead comprehensive communication and marketing strategies that advance the City of Little Rock’s vision, goals, and messaging. Develop communication materials, including brochures, flyers, press releases, public service announcements, information pamphlets, media announcements, public presentation materials, speech- es, and other promotional/public information materials. Manage City’s main social media accounts. Directs and coordinates special events. Oversee the government access channel, Little Rock Television, supervising three video production specialists.

University of Arkansas – Little Rock | Associate Director of Digital Strategy | July 2014 – July 2015

Directed large-scale web development projects including award-winning homepage redesign. Lead content strategist responsible for user experience, brand adherence, design, information architecture, and content on more than 250 sites in the network. Support top-level marketing campaigns with layered digital, video, and social initiatives. Supervised front-end web developer and student worker video specialist.

University of Arkansas – Little Rock | Web communications manager | May 2012 – June 2014

Created and carried out a digital strategy for a metropolitan university. Duties included writing for variety of print and web channels, editing, developing content, video editing, training, online marketing, monitoring web analytics, SEM and SEO, maintaining brand toolkit, and collaborating with content creators across campus. Supervised a staff of two.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette | Online news editor | October 2006 – April 2012

After working as a copy editor and wire editor from 2001 to 2006, became online news editor for new web- site. Orchestrated statewide coverage and content for Arkansas Online, the website of Arkansas’ largest news- paper. Duties included generating story ideas, making story assignments, supervising a staff of four, editing stories, coordinating breaking news coverage. Also responsible for maintaining daily budgets, shooting and editing video, developing online content, and leading social media integration and marketing campaigns.

501 LIFE | Creative director | September 2007 – present

Set creative vision for monthly magazine covering central Arkansas with a circulation of more than 10,000. Graphic designer and illustrator for editorial side of magazine, which has grown by 40 pages and expanded its advertising base. Create special inserts as well as an annual sports-themed edition of magazine.

Alltel | Copywriter | September 2003 – February 2004

Wrote copy and legal for national print and radio campaigns. Coordinated with project leads and designers to create effective print ads in several markets across the country. Demonstrated such initiative that job was broadened to include writing and editing copy for a variety of print and packaging materials.
